Dangers of Nail Guns

In St Petersburg, Florida, a man was working on the roof of his house when he shot himself with a nail gun. Fire officials had to be called to use their ladder and basket to get him down because the 54 year old, 260 pound man had become incapacitated by the accident and couldn’t get himself down under his own power.

The fire workers explained that the ladder and basket was the safest way to get the man down from the roof. He was taken to hospital where he was being treated for a nail in the knee.

For the record, this accident took place on September 16, 2008.

More recently a man was shot with a nail gun during a kidnapping in Wales. The victim took a nail to the foot during the incident, yet again highlighting that not only is the nail gun an effective tool for quickly hammering in nails, but it is also dangerous enough to be used as a weapon that can inflict serious injury.

When you buy a new nail gun you should remind yourself that you are buying a tool with enormous power and the potential to cause great pain.
